Janet Jackson has teamed up with Missy Elliott for her latest single Burnitup! from Unbreakable, Jackson’s first album in seven years.
The musical legend is only a week away from the October 2 release of Unbreakable and has just dropped her second single from the new record, a follow up to Jackson’s duet No Sleeep with J. Cole.
The new dance track opens with Elliott dropping some of her trademark rhymes, with Jackson taking over for the rest of the song and showcasing vocals that are times are indistinguishable from her late brother Michael.
Both women have been out of the spotlight for a few years and are bringing some early 2000 vibes with the new pop track. We definitely like it and we think a few more spins will get us to love it.
Jackson has been performing the new song on her Unbreakable World Tour, already hitting seven Canadian cities. Check out Burnitup! below!
